Welcome to the Mount Merrion Medical Centre. Please phone reception to make an appointment. Although we are on the 1st floor, accessibility is not a problem as we have a lift. It is also convenient for many patients that we have a Physiotherapy service, Speech and Language Therapy service, Psychotherapist/Counsellor and Practice Nurse all on the first floor. Free on-street parking is available as well as the facility to park in the grounds of the church.
Prescription Request
Please use the link to send us a full list of required medications, dose and duration. All prescriptions are usually ready for collection 2 working days after the request is received. There will be occasions where the doctor feels that in fact you need a review of medication/conditions before issuing a repeat prescription. This is for your safety and also at times can be to comply with tight prescribing legislation

Principal GP – Dr. Ruth Gallagher
Dr Gallagher has been running the practice since January 2018 having previously worked as a GP in the local area. In 2018 Dr Gallagher merged practices with Dr Donal McCafferty in order to provide an expanded medical centre to serve the growing need in the community for family doctors as well as to provide ongoing care for all existing patients. We are very pleased to be able to offer a comprehensive Women's Health service including coil and implanon insertions/removals as well as all of the usual General Practice services for the whole population from newborns to elderly care. There are two other regular doctors based at the clinic, Dr Caroline McPhillips and Dr Angela Doherty. The practice is affiliated with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland where Dr Gallagher holds the position of Honorary Lecturer. Therefore from time to time, we have the pleasure of introducing undergraduate medical students to General Practice in our community.
