Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm (closed for lunch 12.30-2pm).
Closed Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.



Appointment System

Mount Merrion Medical Centre operates an “appointment only” system. To obtain an appointment please contact our reception staff at 01 2881297. Every effort is made to ensure you are seen as soon as possible and all genuine urgent requests are dealt with promptly. It is the Practice's policy to accommodate all sick children on the same day/ASAP. Any information you can provide on the nature of your consultation will help the receptionist expedite your visit as some requests (e.g. a repeat prescription) may not require a consultation.



House Calls

We always endeavour to give our patients the best possible service in the safest manner. For this reason, house calls are no longer considered to be the best approach in most circumstances as patients have access to a more comprehensive assessment, usually a sooner appointment and more investigations and better management options when assessed within the surgery. On the rare occasions that we feel an individual patient is best not to leave the home, we can best manage to schedule house calls when given adequate notice.



Out of Hours GP Service

The Mount Merrion Medical Centre provides a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year service. Out of hours service is provided by our local co-op - EDoc - which is located on the campus of Saint Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin 4.

When you ring EastDoc a specially trained nurse will record your request and ask for details including your GP’s name and, where applicable, medical card details. If you are seen by the EDoc doctor details of your consultation will be automatically forwarded to the Mount Merrion Medical Centre.
